After months of love, determination, exhaustion and pixel pushing, our Coke FIFA World Cup™ digital activity on Coke Zone has gone live.
The work builds on the creative we produced in support of Coke’s FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour, which visited 83 countries in 225 days, giving football fans all over the globe the chance to see the real, solid-gold trophy up close.
It’s been a massive project for Coke and Carlson Marketing – here’s why:
• It’s the first time a substantial brand activity has been seamlessly integrated with Coke Zone rewards.
• It’s the first time rewards data has been pulled dynamically into a custom piece of work. Mmm… geeky.
• It’s the first time a Coke Brand Experience has run a frequency driver.
All in all, the boys done good. Now it’s down to Wayne Rooney and England to make it a perfect summer.

Since her arrival earlier in the year, Client Accountant Izzy Szydelko has brought some much-needed glamour to the Finance department.
And now she’s danced her way to the title of UK Modern Jive Champion 2010, after a full day of competing in the plush surroundings of Blackpool’s Tower Ballroom.
For those not in the know, modern jive is the UK’s biggest partner dance, incorporating elements of swing, latin and salsa – with more kicks and flicks than Diego Maradona on speed.
So if, like most of us, you have to be steaming drunk to go anywhere near a dance floor (before going on to execute a series of ill-advised moves that resemble a gibbon having a seizure), you’ll appreciate what an impressive achievement this is. Nice moves Izzy!
Adding a gaming layer to loyalty - or at least making the existing game play better - is probably the most important change to loyalty marketing since it moved from paper stamps to computerised points.

It was another big night for Carlson Marketing and Coca-Cola at the 2010 ISP Awards. Our digital loyalty programme, Coke Zone, scooped two prestigious Gold awards: Best Digital Promotion (multi-platform) and best Long Term Relationship Marketing, while Coca-Coca picked up the Gold for Brand Owner of the Year.
The team celebrated in the appropriate fashion, by putting away a fair few bottles of the finest fizzy stuff. Hic!
